Company The ‘Dance Theater July’ is the independent dance company, having been founded in 2011. Currently,
seven distinguish artists are working together to create wonderful performances. The Company is trying to be ‘Ever-lasting’ rather than ‘Shining’.
Performance The ‘KeumHongA, KeumHongA’ is a love story between the great poet, Lee Sang and his sweet heart ‘KeumHong’
. His work, ‘Ogamdo (‘Crow Eye’s View’, published in Joseon Jungang ilbo, 1934) is well known as an esoteric poetry.
The poet describes a desperation and fear of young intellectual under the colonial regime by referring ‘thirteen Ahae (thirteen children)’.
In this performance, the ‘KeumHong’ is metaphorically expressed in form of ‘mother’, and the ‘fear’
and ‘dread’ of thirteen children is reinterpreted from the point of p oet.
